Dr. Soloiu (ME) awarded NSF REU grant
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a $360,000 Research for Undergraduates (REU) grant to Georgia Southern’s Dr. V. Soloiu (Assoc. Prof., Allen E. Paulson Chair of Renewable Energy). The funding will support summer research opportunities for engineering undergraduate students from across the United States in the field of Renewable Energy and Biofuels Combustion in Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) over the next three years. REU students will work on formulating new biofuels, hybrid combustion technologies, and extended range electrical vehicle platforms.
