MSAE Student Wins NSF Fellowship
Mr. Martin Muinos has been awarded a five-year NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. The Fellowship provides three years of financial support, including tuition and stipend payments, to enable Mr. Muinos to complete his graduate studies. His winning submission was a “Study of Reactivity-Controlled Compression Ignition and Low Temperature Combustion of Biofuels.” Mr. Muinos earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Southern, and is currently a student in the M.S. of Applied Engineering program, with a concentration in Energy Science. He conducts research in the CEIT’s Renewable Energy and Engines Laboratory under the direction of Dr. Valentin Soloiu.
