GS Asphalt Research on Display in Atlanta at Georgia Transportation Institute (GTI)
Associate Professor of Civil Engineering, Dr. Junan Shen, together with his research team members Dr. Xie and Graduate Researcher Matthew Earnest, presented three posters in the Research Poster Session jointly hosted by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT)/Georgia Transportation Institute (GTI) on September 24th 2013. The three posters entitled: “Long-term Performance of Pavements with Crumb Rubber Added by the Dry Process”; “Effect of Cross-Linking Agent on the Properties of Asphalt Rubber;” and “Asphalt Pavement Weathering System for Asphalt Mixtures” were based on projects funded by GDOT. The 50 other posters in the Poster Session came from Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Southern Polytechnic State University, Mercer University and Albany University. The Georgia Southern University posters attracted the attention of many attendants including GDOT Chief Engineer, and GS CET 91 alumna, Russell McMurry.
