  • Software Engineering: In the software engineering specialization, you’re doing more than just development. You’ll engineer new software programs and environments that solve complex problems.
  • Software and Cyber Security: In the software and cyber security specialization, you’ll learn to protect personal and financial data, infrastructure and more.
  • Machine Learning: In the machine learning specialization, you’ll gain expertise to develop programs that can access data and use it to learn for themselves.

Program Options for the On-Campus or Hybrid Master’s in Computer Science

Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s in Computer Science Program

For students currently earning a bachelor’s in computer science degree, Georgia Southern offers an accelerated track to an M.S. in Computer Science degree. This program combines 124 hours from the B.S. in Computer Science and 30 hours from the MSCS to exceed the required 150 unique hours between the undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The option is available for both the thesis and non-thesis MSCS tracks.

Provisional Admittance

For students wanting to pursue the MSCS degree without a prior bachelor’s degree in a computing field, we offer courses that students can pass to qualify for admission to the M.S. in Computer Science program.
