Statesboro Campus

The Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering & Computing is spread among three buildings at Georgia Southern’s Statesboro Campus. A fourth building is under construction with a target opening date of late 2020.

Information Technology Building

The College’s central building is the 140,000 square foot Information Technology Building, opened in 2003. The IT Building houses the Dean’s Office, Associate Deans, and the following academic departments:

• Computer Science
• Electrical & Computer Engineering
• Information Technology
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Student Services Center

The IT Building also includes 100 faculty offices, 40 faculty offices, 3 staff offices, 4 administrative suites, 3 conference rooms, 1 auditorium, and a deli, and GusMart2.

Engineering Building

The Engineering Building was dedicated in 1995, and the two-story facility has an area of 80,868 square feet. The building is home to the following academic departments:

• Civil Engineering & Construction
• Mechanical Engineering

The Engineering Building also features 40 faculty offices, 19 labs, 8 classrooms, 4 administrative suites, 3 conference rooms, and 3 staff offices.

Carruth Building

The Carruth Building was built in 1959 and is now being re-purposed to serve as Georgia Southern’s Engineering Research Center. The building comprises several classrooms and the following labs:

• Nanomaterials Research Lab
• Asphalt Research Lab
• GS Robotics Lab

Engineering & Research Building

Officially opened on January 8, 2021, the Engineering & Research Building is the newest in the College’s suite of buildings.  This 135,000 square foot state-of-the-art building is home to the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, as well as several Mechanical Engineering faculty.  The ERB is designed to serve as an epicenter for engineering excellence and innovation, and to facilitate academic and institutional partnerships by inspiring creating engineering solutions.  It comprises 21 cutting-edge instructional research labs including high bay areas and a precision manufacturing/Class 10,000 clean lab, 25 academic learning spaces, a conference center/seminar space, configurable labs and research areas, and a renewable energy rooftop lab.

Armstrong Campus in Savannah

Science Center

The Science Center is a state-of-the-art, two-building complex on the Armstrong campus in Savannah that is entirely devoted to science and technology. Connected with a modern glass bridge, the Science Center houses the Departments of Computer Science and Information Technology.

University Hall

At 89,000 square feet, University Hall is one of Armstrong’s largest academic buildings and is uniquely designed to look like the streets of downtown Savannah. It features the Patio Café. Engineering departments are housed within this building along with the Engineering Learning Center and the Technology Center.

Center for Applied Cyber Education

The Center for Applied Cyber Education (CACE) is an interdisciplinary center and a leader in cyber education and training. CACE began in October 2015 as a place dedicated to supporting interdisciplinary cyber education that affords student access to curriculum, programs, and community partnerships.
