The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a technologically intense program that emphasizes computer programming, theory, and design. Students who choose to major in Computer Science can look forward to careers in programming and designing new software. Students interested in gaming can pursue a certificate in Game Programming.

The Department of Information Technology offers the B.S. in Information Technology and the WebBSIT – an online degree program. The IT curriculum combines in-depth education in technology with hands-on training, along with the opportunity to for students to explore diverse areas such as electronic broadcast media, music technology, administration of justice, education, or health informatics, among many others.

The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Management offers three undergraduate degree programs of study: the B.S. in Civil Engineering, the B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology and the B.S. in Construction Management.

Mechanical Engineering ››

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers two undergraduate degree programs of study: the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Mechanical Engineering students study mechanical design and analysis, material science and manufacturing processing, thermal-fluid-energy sciences, computer-aided engineering graphics and analysis, and electro-mechanical devices and controls with an emphasis in mechatronics.

Engineering Studies ››

The Engineering Studies Program supports the Regents Engineering Transfer Program (RETP).  Qualified students may study for two years at one University System of Georgia institution, and complete their engineering degree at Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Southern Polytechnic or the University of Georgia.
