Brazil Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP) students develop projects involving Mobile Robots in RIOS lab

Four students from the Brazil Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP) spent the summer months at Georgia Southern University doing undergraduate research in the Robotics and Intelligent Operation Systems (RIOS) lab of the Electrical Engineering Department under the supervision of Drs. Rocio Alba and Dr. Fernando Rios.

The Brazil Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP) is a one-year, non-degree program for Brazilian students to study abroad in the United States. BSMP is part of the Brazilian government’s larger initiative to grant 100,000 Brazilian university students the opportunity to study abroad at the world’s best colleges and universities.

Augusto Biondini, Kelvin de Almeida Carvallo, Mateus Knop, & Drienny Sanchez da Silva developed four projects involving mobile robots: Follow the Leader Robot, Intelligent Cruise Control, Robotic Roach Design, and an Intelligent Navigation Robot.
