XSEDE14 – Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment – July in Atlanta!

The XSEDE14 planning committee would like to encourage more students from the Atlanta area attend this summer’s conference.

The XSEDE14 student program encompasses all student-focused sessions and events at the annual conference taking place in Atlanta from July 13-18, 2014 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

Some planned activities for the student program include:

– Team-based modeling and simulation challenge

– Career focused activities, including discussions with professionals and a job fair

– Orientation with mentors from XSEDE community

– Student paper and poster tracks with awards

– Student volunteer opportunities

Farnam Jahanian, assistant director for the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) at the National Science Foundation, will be the keynote speaker at the conference.
