Cooperative Education

Students alternate semesters of full-time work and study to gain practical experience in their chosen

field. This allows the student to work on a continuous project with escalating responsibilities. Co-op

students have the opportunity to work an international rotation during their 3rd or 4th rotation, if

program requirements are met.

Students work full-time for one rotation. This enables students to test their career choices while

gaining valuable experience in a manufacturing environment. Our interns are used in areas where

special projects are assigned. BMW has internship opportunities available during spring, summer,

and fall rotations.

The co-op and internship program allows us to meet the future demands for technical experience in

the workplace and establish partnering relationships with local and national colleges and universities.
