IT Service Specialist – Georgia Southern
Executive Technology Services at Georgia Southern has an open position to provide desktop computer support for hardware, software, peripherals and services across the Windows and Macintosh operating systems, including but not limited to: installation, configuration, troubleshooting, consultation, and training.
Support is delivered to executives, and staff; and other locations that require desktop support; Provides support for Executive Technology Services customers in response to assigned tickets and established hardware and software maintenance schedules; Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop computers, printers, peripherals, and licensed software. Monitor equipment functionality, condition, usage, and security including: perform an equipment inventory, perform ongoing maintenance of the inventory, perform routine and ongoing hardware and software maintenance, recommend hardware/software solutions, and ensure that all equipment is kept well organized and secure.
Position requires the ability to respond quickly to customer issues, learn and adapt to new technologies and ability to troubleshoot and escalate issues to resolution; supervise and train assigned student technicians; serve as a resource and provide technical solutions to customer base; provide first line support of audio/visual equipment and digital signage in areas supported by Executive Technology Services.
