Gulfstream Cybersecurity Internship – Fall 2016

Essential Functions:

  • Codes and documents extensions to identity management, plus security information and event monitoring software programs in accordance with design specifications.
  • Creates unit and integration test plans.
  • Performs unit and integration testing
  • Participates in peer code reviews
  • Supports application deployment

Additional Functions:

Proactively identifies opportunities to improve existing methodologies, processes or other areas of application delivery performance

Proactively communicates issues and status as required

Exercises problem solving and creativity when developing code to create efficient, reusable software, resulting in minimal maintenance

Requirements:

Operating Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Educational & Experience Requirements: Currently seeking a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or relevant degree field. Must be available August 2016 – December 2016 at least 20 hours per week. A minimum GPA of 2.70 is required and must be listed on the submitted resume in order to be considered. Must have your own reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship. Preferred Skills: Experience with software development methodologies, the software-development-lifecycle (SDLC), and best practices Cyber security fundamentals exposure Experience working in teams Proficiency with MS Office suite Experience with Java, JavaScript, SOAP, XML, XSLT, and XPath, along with LDAP/Directory Services, Linux operating systems, VMware/virtual environments, and public key infrastructure (SSL/TLS)
