Facilities
Opened as a $33 million state-of-the-art facility on July 1, 2003, the Information Technology Building is complete with 25 interactive learning and study rooms, 10 computer labs, 14 electronic classrooms, a 120-seat lecture hall and a 240-seat auditorium, occupying nearly 140,000 square feet. Thanks to our alliances with industry partners such as EMC and VMware, students majoring in Information Technology have access to departmental research labs with state-of-the-art network equipment and computer hardware. Our Academic Alliances with Adobe, Microsoft and the Linux Professional Institute provide IT majors with all the latest software available for our classroom labs. The IT program is hands-on and students are work-ready when they graduate.
The Information Technology Building also features a soaring, two-story atrium lobby looking out to the campus, as well as the IT Store and the Market Street Deli.
The Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Computing has quickly established itself as a student-centered learning community that presents, applies, and extends the current boundaries of knowledge regarding today’s dynamic technology based global environment. The Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Computing is among the nation’s leaders in the training of those students who will one day dominate the High Tech sector of the economy.
Science Center – Armstrong campus in Savannah
The Science Center is a state-of-the-art, two-building complex that is entirely devoted to science and technology. Connected with a modern glass bridge, the Science Center houses the Departments of Computer Science and Information Technology.
Center for Applied Cyber Education – Armstrong campus in Savannah
The Center for Applied Cyber Education (CACE) is an interdisciplinary center and a leader in cyber education and training. CACE began in October 2015 as a collaborative effort between Armstrong administration, faculty, and staff across the university to strengthen cyber education and training in the region. CACE is dedicated to supporting interdisciplinary cyber education that affords student access to curriculum, programs, and community partnerships that impart the skills and concepts applicable to 21st-century cyber workforce needs.
