The I.T. Specialist is primarily responsible for working with the entire office support staff and remote users to support all mobile, desktop, and enterprise applications. This role will also be responsible for supporting SAP B1 users and functionality including report and query writing.

Akamai Solutions Architect Co-ops – July – December

Solutions Architects are part of the Akamai Service Delivery team and work directly with clients to deliver Akamai’s solutions. You will be involved with projects from requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and customer sign-off. You will work independently or within a global technical team in delivering the appropriate solution to Akamai’s customers. You will plan, implement, test, and deploy Akamai platform configurations to integrate our customers’ web sites with the Akamai Intelligent Platform, develop and execute test cases and scripts for customer solutions. Solutions Architects work closely with internal stakeholders such as Sales Representatives, Project Managers, Technical Support and Engineering. Working with Akamai’s Media, Enterprise, Commerce and Hi Tech customers, you will utilize Akamai’s portfolio of security, media, downloads, mobile and acceleration products. This will give you the opportunity on cutting edge technology in the cloud. You will also participate in internal projects that help diversify the group, implement best practices, and improve methodology and quality of integrations.

Georgia Tech Research Institute – Advanced Concepts Lab

Position: Co-op for IT department starting Fall 2016 (August)

Experience: Need to be at least a rising sophomore (by hours 30 +) and will work at least 3 terms.

Paid: Competitive, will depend on amount of completed school hours.

Location: Centennial Research Building on Georgia Techs main campus in Midtown Atlanta.

Other: Must be a US citizen and be able to commute to work everyday.

Job Description: Co-ops will start out running the IT helpdesk. This will involve many aspects of IT including Domain, LDAP, Network, and Printer management and much more. Co-ops will start to take on projects and research opportunities to find new technologies to implement as they move along in their later co-oping terms. You will learn to how work with Windows, 0SX, and Linux in a enterprise environment on both the workstation and server side. You will help maintain a Data center and learn how to monitor using applications like SCCM and Nagios. You will be expected to research and find alternative ways to fix issues related to IT tasks.
