Elizabeth Rasnick attends WiCys 2019
Dr. Elizabeth Rasnick attended the Women in Cyber Security Conference (WiCys 2019) in Pittsburgh, March 28-30, 2019. The WiCys 2019 is the premier cybersecurity conference bringing together industry, students, educators, government and research. Each year, WiCyS brings together students and professionals to share knowledge and experience, network, learn and mentor. Of the 1,200+ conference participants, 600+ were students.
Dr. Rasnick was awarded one of 9 faculty travel grants allowing her to attend. She applied for the grant in October 2018. She served as a student presentation judge and a power tweeter at the conference. In addition, Dr. Rasnick attended sessions on working with funding agencies to build university programs, the perpetually evolving cyber threat, and the national cyber security curriculum, among others.
